Trimellitate
Trimellitate esters are widely used in reciprocating air compressor oils, high temperature chain oils and as an additive diluent. They have low volatility, form low levels of residues and come in quite a wide range of viscosities. For instance, L8TM or L810TM are commonly used in high temperature chain oils, OTM and IDTM in chain oils and compressor oils. IDTM is also used as an additive diluent.
